B&W Film Processing (5-6 roll minimum)

from $60.00

In order to be efficient with chemistry and time, this is only available in multiples of 5 for 35mm film and 6 for 120 film for B&W processing, and unfortunately I can’t easily mix & match film formats (35mm or 120). This means, if you have film to process, you are paying for 6 rolls of 120 OR 5 rolls of 35mm. If you have 4x5 film to process, this price is for multiples of 12 sheets. And in most cases, FILM SHOULD BE THE SAME BRAND & EMULSION. This is because unlike C41, B&W processing isn’t a “standard” process.

Scans (if selected) are $15 per roll (or $10 per sheet of 4x5) and done with a high-end DSLR-scanning setup for flexibility and integration into professional workflows. You are also welcome to choose process only, and then come visit us on one of our Open Lab Nights to scan them yourself (for a donation of any amount which goes to support our artist-in-residence and other programming meant to help foster a more inclusive and equitable photo industry).

You can also choose to add-on Contact Sheets ($20 per roll or per 4 sheets of 4x5) for a traditional printed B&W contact sheet on resin-coated (RC) paper. “Doubles” means adding a second contact sheet ($30) of the same roll. Nice to have sometimes.

Just a reminder: B&W is for black and white negative film only. If you want to push your film, choose the appropriate options. Pushing may take a week or so longer based on lab volume. And, as always, reach out if you have questions or want to learn something new!! That is why Troublemaker exists.

Film drop currently by appointment only. If you need to mail film in or drop off after hours, we can work it out. Either way, email with questions. B&W Processing typically happens on Thursday/Friday. Film pickup can be scheduled by appointment (or mailed if necessary).
